Workflow signifies the automation of economic processes. During the automation, the documents, information or tasks are sent from one participant of the process to the other for further processing that is relative to the defined organisational structure.

The sap Business Workflow is a tool that enables automation and ordering of the activities within the framework of business processes supported by the mySAP.com system Workflow. The persons participating in the support of the process modelled in the system, receive electronic notifications about events registered in the system Workflow as well as information on tasks that they should perform in connection with a given event.

The sap Business Workflow contains a plan of action for designing and managing the respective tasks, a system for monitoring the progress of the respective tasks, and a mechanism of relations within the structure of the organisation. Through the application of appropriate connections, it is possible to introduce processes whose processing will be commissioned to employees electronically, according to their place in the structure of the organization.

The sap Business Workflow is accessible in all modules and uses the resources of the whole mySAP.com computer system – applications and services, communication, data bases, etc. It is a part of the mySAP.com system and functions as an integrated section of the information flow, Workflow, performance of the respective processes and controls, etc.

Workflow as a part of mySAP.com:

Workflow - Integrates the functionalities accessible in the mySAP.com.
Workflow - Supports the business processes occurring in the company.
Workflow - Supports the processes occurring between different departments/modules (intermodular information interchange).
Workflow - Supports the processes occurring in the company, forcing out the appropriate order of actions and controlling the correctness of input data and their flow.
Workflow - It enables a rapid information and data flow between the respective posts, eliminating the possibility of a fault in the information interchange.
